Mother's Day is celebrated on May 10th in Mexico. It is a big event - mothers get taken out to eat, serenaded, showered with gifts, etc.
At the congregation Jesus Pan de Vida (Jesus Bread of Life) a special get together was held last Sunday in honor of Mother's Day. Three young men played songs on the guitar and serenaded the mothers. Then everyone enjoyed tostadas and cake. Pictured here are the mothers cutting the cake.
