Arbor Day in January

On Friday, January 11th, a work-day was held at the Mexican Lutheran Seminary. Students cleaned the area outside of the seminary building. They also revarnished the large wooden cross that hangs on the front of the seminary.

Arbor Day in January? While it may sound strange, winter is a good time to hold a work-day in Torreón. Temperatures are mild, which make it possible to stay outside for long periods of time. And the students appreciate a day off of classes!
