Mike just returned from a world missionary conference held at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. This event, which is held every four years, brings together field coordinators from WELS mission fields around the world.
This was Mike's second time attending the conference. He thoroughly enjoyed his time there. He got a chance to worship and study with fellow missionaries, share stories with them, and spend time together.
The biggest highlight, according to Mike, was hearing about how God is at work all over the globe. Each missionary shared a short report from his field.
At the conference, a special emphasis was placed on the importance of praying for one another. Mike plans to turn this idea into an action here in Torreón. At the Mexican Lutheran Seminary, Mike and the seminary students will be saying special prayers for specific work going on in Mozambique, India and Russia, among others.
We give thanks for the ways that God is blessing mission efforts. Through him, people all over the world are coming to know Jesus.
